Ellmara BorderTerriers

The True Border Terrier

The Border Terrier has a friendly and outgoing temperament towards people and especially children. They mix well with other dogs and pets, but are sturdy enough to do a good days work for which they were bred to do.

The Border Terrier does like being the centre of attraction, even if it means putting on fancy dress, they are packed with a big heart and full of fun.

Having said all that they are very happy curled up, dreaming of what tomorrow might bring.

They are so versatile and suit all situations from being a child's dog to living with elderly people and anything in between.

They should have a harsh coat, which therefore requires some grooming which can easily be achieved at home.

They must have that all important "head like an otter".

The tail is naturally short, which is a good thing as it is always wagging.
